Wren Cottage has bags of character and charm. Having been renovated to a high standard in 2008 it was ready for first rental in 2009.
White walls give the cottage a fresh and modern look, whilst the original stonework gives it the cosy cottage feel! Dogs are welcome in Wren Cottage by prior arrangement. The Forest is a great place for dogs! The path outside the cottage leads onto a vast network of footpaths and forest tracks - one could literally walk for miles straight out of the door and across the entire Forest!
Ground Floor: Entrance via a stable door to a modern kitchen with electric cooker-dishwasher, fridge and granite-style worktop. A flight of three stone steps leads to the lounge where a wood-burning stove set in the original fireplace invites you to a romantic evening in with your loved one! The lounge contains a sofa, TV/DVD and drop-leaf dining table and chairs. Large glazed double doors lead form the lounge to the forest track outside.
First floor: Solid oak flooring throughout the upstairs gives this cottage a warm feel. A narrow staircase leads to the bedroom where you can enjoy your morning cuppa as you admire the rural views from your bed. The bedroom is mezzanine style and a bi-fold oak door leads to a shower room with toilet washbasin and heated towel rail.
Garden: There is a large, shared wildlife garden with excellent views across the valley. In the garden ther is a birdhide for the use of guests, a wildlife pond, and a picnic table for eating out on sunny evenings, or just take your gin and tonic and enjoy the views and the birdsong! The garden is fenced and can be used to exercise dogs off leash provided they are supervised. There is also a poop scoop and pooh bin provided.
Parking: The cottage has a designated parking space about 50 metres uphill from the cottage.
